My Testimony
Hi.
Ok so I’ve had a few people ask me how and why I become a Christian. Here is the story of how I met Jesus.
All my life as a child I was raised as a Catholic. I would go to church every Sunday. I didn’t really pay attention to services because we’ll first off I was a child and second I thought they were boring.
When my mother thought I was old enough she decided that I could stay home by myself.
When I was 16 I received a call for a job interview. When I went for the interview the employer came out with this book titled “Born Again Christian”. He asked if he could pray for me. I said yes cuz I wanted the job.
Afterwards I went back home and threw the booklet on my dresser. A couple of weeks later I was cleaning my room when I came across the booklet. I called my aunt and she told me that I should talk to my father’s friend. So I gave him a call and he met with me.
He explained to me that the ONLY way into Heaven was through Jesus Christ. He showed me (John 3:16) in the Bible where it says; For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son and that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but receive eternal life.”
He told me how Jesus came to earth and died on the cross for our sins and that we could only enter Heaven by having Him in our lives.
This was news to me. I thought that by being a good person that it was all I needed to go to Heaven.
So with the new information that my dad’s friend showed me he asked me if I wanted to invite Jesus into my life. I said yes and he led me in a simple prayer and that’s when I invite Christ into my life.
I started going to his church which was a Pentecostal church. Those services were awesome. The pastor would talk about things that God wanted us to hear.
Anyways that was back in 1993 when I gave my life to Jesus and now in 2024 I’m still following Jesus and I try to let as many people know about Jesus and how He wants to be a part of their lives.
When I was around 24 something happened to one of my friends at the church I was going to and I lost respect for the church so I stopped going. I figured my life with God was going to be OK without the church, and it was for a bit until I drifted away from God.
12 years ago that’s when I met my wife. We met on a dating site and both of our “religious status” was non religious.
Anyhow so we eventually got married but around 2 years ago, I was at my computer and for some reason I played a couple of Christian songs and I felt the Holy Spirit touch me and I ask God for forgiveness and I asked Jesus to come back in my life.
Not long after I gave my life back to God, I tried to talk to my wife about Jesus but she said she doesn’t believe in God or Heaven. (long story)
I tried a few more times since but she won’t hear it, so the best thing that I can do is to keep her in my Prayers.
But also God put in my heart to share His Word through Podcasts. To be honest, for a while I tried to avoid the issue because I wasn’t sure on what to talk about as well I was afraid that If I started doing Podcasts I’d eventually get bored of doing it and quit like I’ve done in the past.
But see in the past the podcasts that I was doing, weren’t about God, they were about teaching people how to create WordPress websites and I was also trying to make money from my podcasts which I found out it takes a while so I just gave up.
This time, I’m not trying to make money off these Podcasts, they are about spreading the Word of God.
So early in July 2024 I decided to listen to God and do the Christian Podcasts.
